We spent a week in a nice hotel in Helmsley.

We didn’t spend too much time at the pool side though, but rather out there, in the very early morning hours.

Or here, in the very late evening hours.

And in between we visited pubs, like The Hare Inn – a brilliant place for dinner.

We had some luck the first day, with one 3-legged and 2 nice roe bucks.

Note to self #1: remember that the weed and brambles are higher than you are in late July…

Note to self #2: you have to be up very early to catch the first daylight in July…

In fact; it’s a bad idea to go hunting in England in July..
